LOVE, AFFAIR, GRIEF

Cecil Beaton known as a little bit of stone cold man once in his life fell truly in love with a woman of grace. Along his lots and lots of letters with famlous personalities as Yves Saint Laurent, C. Balenciaga, J.F. Kennedy and also his collaboration with Hepburn, Princess Diana, Grace Kelly, Coco Chanel and others. Along those shiny jewels was one that shined brighter. Her name was Greta Garbo. She was a talented actress. Beaton wasn’t a sexualy decided to one gender but we are talking soul here. Garbo stole his heart and never gave it back to him. They started their affair later in 30’s and it went on. Cecil Beaton kept a very meticulous diary. He leaked his diary with his love thoughts to Greta Garbo without her knowing about it and that ended the romance.

Beaton and THE Marilyn MONROE

Cecil Beaton had only one shoot with Marilyn Monroe, which took place at the Ambassador Hotel in New York in February 1956. He almost all the time searched for perfection and he didn’t find one his way to the world sex symbol.
